Hey, hi, hello — I’m KP! I’m your yoga teacher friend who is here to help you let go & go with the flow. I love to teach students Baptiste vinyasa inspired yoga flows that invite a sense of self-discovery, mindfulness, and alignment to your practice.
My personal practice began in 2014, when I needed it the most. When I showed up on my yoga mat for the very first time, I was an insecure, hot mess express and I felt like I had no idea what I was doing, BUT! I did know that it was my own personal life struggles that led me there. After slowly embracing the habit of flowing regularly, yoga became my safe space where I show up exactly as I am to prioritize my own mental health and self awareness. I realized how it changed my life for the better and that’s why I fell in love with this practice. It’s this practice that has allowed me to really lean in and find comfort through all of my uncomfortable racing thoughts, life circumstances and toxic relationships. It’s this practice that taught me how movement, meditation and breath work calms my anxiety and insecurities. As a result, a lot of healing & personal growth has come out on my mat. I often joke that yoga is what “keeps me sane” but truly it does, it’s a powerful routine that I use for my physical, mental, and spiritual growth.
In 2023, I took the next step of my yoga journey by earning my 200-hour yoga certification from Yoga Habit, where I trained under experienced instructors who helped me refine my teaching techniques, learn the anatomy of the body and deepen my understanding of yoga philosophy. After getting certified, I began teaching students of all levels in supportive and inclusive spaces and guiding them to explore their own practice at their own pace. Since becoming a certified teacher, I’ve guided students of all levels to explore their own practice at their own pace.
My teaching style is designed to offer approachable sequences that focus on alignment, breath awareness, and mindful movement. I like to teach flows to a curated playlist of music to enhance the energy of each class. I’m a big affirmation girlie so I typically set the intention of class by share an affirmation at the top of the class to really set the mood. My classes are not just a fun workout, they are a journey toward balance, strength, and inner peace.
I’m your friend on and off the mat and I actually do practice what I preach…Catch me on my mat OR sign up for one of my in-studio classes at HPY Philly or Yoga Habit in Philadelphia, PA.
